ORDINANCES

2019-86, third reading, establishing the city’s 2020 job classifications, pay ranges and salary schedules for Findlay’s non-elected officers and employees. Ordinance approved 9-0, with Councilman Jim Slough, R-4, officiating.

2019-93, second reading, appropriating $95,625 from the city’s water fund to pay for the testing and calibration of high volume water meters.

2019-94, second reading, requesting the Ohio auditor of state to conduct a performance audit of the city’s water and sewer departments.

2019-95, first reading, authorizing the safety director to apply to the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation Firefighter Exposure to Environmental Elements Grant, and to use the money, along with matching funds from the city, to purchase safety equipment for the fire department. Motion to suspend council’s three-reading rule approved 9-0. Ordinance approved 9-0.

2019-96, first reading, appropriating $35,000 to replace a sewer and add a manhole on Davis Street and Ohio 12. Motion to suspend council’s three-reading rule approved 9-0. Ordinance approved 9-0.

2019-97, first reading, refunding $685 to Cedar Valley for overpayment to the City of Findlay’s Revolving Loan Fund. Motion to suspend council’s three-reading rule approved 9-0. Ordinance approved 9-0.

2019-98, first reading, authorizing the mayor to enter into a agreement with Hancock Public Health to allow the health department to use city billing software to track addresses with isolation back flows. The data can be kept at no additional cost to the city.

2019-99, first reading, appropriating a $202,000 Community Development Block Grant for the separation of the storm and sanitary sewer on Howard Street.
