Findlay residents participating in the city’s natural gas aggregation program will pay a lower rate over the next 36 months.

The City of Findlay announced this week that the 36-month fixed rate has been set at $3.63 per thousand cubic feet, or $0.3635 per hundred cubic feet. The new rate will run from this December through November 2022.

The new rate compares to the current rate of $4.34 per thousand cubic feet of gas, or $0.4377 per hundred cubic feet.

Volunteer Energy Services, Pickerington, is the supplier, which is the same as last year.

Residents and businesses in the program will receive a notice from Volunteer Energy explaining the new rates and terms. Those who wish to remain in the program or join the program do not need to do anything to receive the new rate.

Residents who are being served by another supplier may join the city’s program by calling Volunteer Energy at 800-977-8374.

Before enrolling, customers are being encouraged to check the terms and conditions of their current supplier agreement.

Those who wish to leave the Volunteer Energy program will receive instructions on how to opt out.

For more information, residents should contact Volunteer Energy.
