Get into the spirit of the season with a mixture of holiday cheer and a bit of history at the Hancock Historical Museum’s Christmas Open House. Held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, and from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, the open house will include decorations, crafts, games and more.

Admission for the event costs $1 per person and can be purchased at the door.

Join the Hull family, played by actors, as they celebrate Christmas in the 1890s. Take a stroll through the Historical Museum’s campus, which will be decorated for the holidays.

Sit by the fire in the Crawford Log House to stay warm, savor hot cider and try seasonal treats cooked over a hot stove. Games and crafts will be offered for children, courtesy of the Hancock Park District and the Children’s Museum of Findlay. Refreshments will be provided.

Father Christmas will visit the event.

Saturday evening’s event will feature live music by Standard Time Jazz Quintet, who will play from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Hull House.
