An Ottawa teenager was injured in a single-car accident on Ohio 12 near the Putnam County line Monday morning, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported.
According to the sheriff’s office, Anika Schreiber, 18, of Ottawa, was driving a 2008 Pontiac G6 east on Ohio 12 near Hancock County 16 at 11:31 a.m. when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway before overcorrecting and going off the left side of the road. The car hit a culvert and a creek bank before flipping over on its top.
Schreiber was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco EMS for treatment of minor injuries. She was cited for operating a vehicle without reasonable control, the sheriff’s office reported.
