BLUFFTON — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed a bill Monday that provides funding to help Ohioans learn new skills and help employers build a stronger workforce, with skills needed in a technological economy.
The legislation was sponsored by state Rep. Jon Cross (R-Kenton).
DeWine signed the bill at Grob Systems, Bluffton, which received funding in the first round of grants from the TechCred Program. Buckeye Machines, Forest, also received first-round funding. Both companies are located within the 83rd House District, which Cross represents.
“The TechCred Program is an important initiative that will continue to attract jobs to Ohio and provide for further investments to advance our workforce,” said Cross. “I appreciate Governor DeWine for signing this legislation and Speaker Householder for advancing this bill.”
