ARLINGTON — The Village Cleanup Day will be held on April 18. The date was announced at Monday’s Arlington Council meeting.

The annual cleanup will be held at the park’s north parking lot from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The service is available only to Arlington residents.

Garbage, limbs and batteries will not be accepted.

Residents are reminded a public meeting on the Main Street improvement project will be held at 7 p.m. on Feb. 5 in the Arlington school cafeteria.

The project is expected to begin May 1 and continue for 120 days.

Five digital signs will be installed to warn motorists about the road construction.

Entrances for local businesses will be open.

The village water board will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the town hall.

The board holds its regular meetings on the second Monday of the month.
