A housing market study for Findlay and Hancock County has been undertaken by Hancock Regional Planning Commission.
Part of the study is a 5-minute online survey available at www.surveymonkey.com/r/HancockCountyHousing.
The survey will be available online until Feb. 25. A link to the survey is available on the city’s and HRPC’s websites.
The housing market study is in partnership with the city, the Community Foundation, University of Findlay Center for Civic Engagement Housing Coalition, DiSalvo Development Advisors and the Greater Ohio Policy Center.
The housing study will look at both the rental and single-family markets and identify market-supported development opportunities among all housing types and price points throughout the county.
Previous housing studies have been done, but this will be the first countywide market study to assess opportunities to improve the housing situation among residents and workers.
Also, the policy center will provide policy recommendations related to clearly defined housing issues, so the public and private sectors can work together to address the region’s housing needs.
