ORDINANCES

2020-08, third reading, accepting the Lake Cascades Parkway Roadway Dedication plat. Ordinance approved 10-0.

2020-10, third reading, vacating North Blanchard Street in the 1100 block. Ordinance approved 10-0.

2020-17, first reading, authorizing the safety director to apply for a Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters’ Grant, which would provide about 90 percent of the cost of replacing the Findlay Fire Department’s radio equipment at a cost of about $525,000. The city would pay the balance.

2020-18, first reading, authorizing the safety director to renegotiate the terms of a property lease with the American Tower Company for property at Findlay Fire Station 3, 1001 Tiffin Ave.

2020-19, first reading, appropriating $160,000 from the city’s water fund to pay for the replacement of a 12-inch waterline on West Melrose Avenue.

2020-20, first reading, appropriating $750,000 from the city’s capital improvement fund to pay for street resurfacing and curb replacement.

2020-21, first reading, appropriating $1.2 million from the city’s water fund, sewer fund and capital improvement fund to the Howard Street waterline replacement and sewer separation project.

2020-22, first reading, appropriating $3,250 from Findlay’s general fund to pay for a record retrieval service for social media accounts owned by city departments.

2020-23, first reading, authorizing the mayor to apply for grants from the AARP Community Challenge, U.S. Conference of Mayors Better Cities for Pets and Petsafe Bark for Your Park. Funds would be used to establish a dog park inside city limits. Motion to suspend council’s three-reading rule approved 10-0. Ordinance approved 10-0.

2020-24, first reading, appropriating $150,685 from the city’s sewer fund for the Blanchard Street catch basin replacement project. Motion to suspend council’s three-reading rule approved 10-0. Ordinance approved 10-0.

2020-25, first reading, appropriating $632,700 for capital improvements from the city’s capital improvement fund, sewer fund and water fund.

2020-26, first reading, revising the city’s zoning code to add a “duplex/triplex” option to small residential lots zoned R-3, and to include an “average front yard setback statement” for residential lots zoned R-2, R-3 and R-4.

2020-27, first reading, authorizing the mayor to enter into a sales agreement with the Blanchard Valley Port Authority for a city-owned parking lot in the 500 block of South Main Street.
