According to a news release from the St. Wendelin parish, Flag City Realtors, Findlay, is the listing agent for the former school property located at 533 N. Countyline St.
“Though St. Wendelin appreciates the additional coverage, (we do) not have a listing agreement with Howard Hanna Real Estate Service nor was consent given by St. Wendelin for the recent sales publicity used on Facebook, in the newspaper(s) or on the radio,” the release states.
According to the listing on Flag City Realtors’ website, the price of the former school property is $1,100,000. Located in a designated Opportunity Zone, it includes a total of six parcels with the school building, parking lots and three outbuildings, which housed school buses and served as storage and weight rooms for the religious institution.
“We closed the school completely last spring,” St. Wendelin Parish Business Manager Lorena Perez said Tuesday. “Financially, it makes sense to sell the property.”
The parish will receive funds obtained from the sale of the property, which was initially listed in September 2019.
Perez was unable to say what that money will be used for once a sale is complete.
The building served as St. Wendelin Catholic School since the 1930s.
All sale inquiries on the property should be made through Brian Whitta at 833-FLAG-CITY or email@example.com.
