The Findlay Fire Department is coming to the rescue of children and their parents who are staying home because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Fire Chief Josh Eberle has taken to Facebook to provide family fun indoors through a series of community connection videos.
The first video is a coloring contest. Children can go to the fire department’s Facebook page, watch a video, print out a fire truck picture, color it and post the artist’s picture on the Facebook or sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you don’t have a printer, send a message to the fire department and a page will be sent.
The deadline for this first activity is Thursday.
In the video, Eberle says the winner will have a gift bag left by their front door or possibly a fire truck driving by their residence.
More videos are expected to be done weekly.
“For now, stay safe, stay at home and we’ll see you on the next community connection video,” Eberle says as the video ends.
