CAREY — The Kin sisters — Shelby and Sydney — combined for 28 points on Wednesday and reigning Northern 10 Conference Player of the Year Sydney Wentling had another solid all-around game in Carey’s 55-39 N10 win over Mohawk.

Shelby Kin, a 6-foot senior, had a team-leading 17 points. Sydney Kin, a 6-2 sophomore, had an 11-point, 13-rebound double-double as the unbeaten but unranked Blue Devils improved to 12-0 overall and 10-0 in the N10.

Wentling, who will play college ball for Malone University, scored eight points and led Carey with seven assists and five steals. The Blue Devils led just 12-11 after the first quarter, but pulled away with a 34-20 advantage over the next two periods.

Ally Weinandy scored 12 points and Bailee Daughenbaugh added 10 for Mohawk (5-9, 4-6 N10).

MORRAL — Upper Sandusky blitzed Ridgedale 25-8 in the first quarter and cruised from there in rolling to a 67-40 win over the winless Rockets in North 10 Conference girls basketball action Wednesday.

Abigail Fogle knocked down five 3-pointers and led Upper Sandusky with 19 points. The sophomore sharpshooter, who connected on 52 3’s her freshman year, has 55th treys through 14 games this season.

Emma Smith and Megan Hensel added 12 points each as Upper Sandusky improved to 11-3 overall and 8-2 in N10 games. Rachel Martin led the Rams with nine rebounds, and Sierra Carey handed out nine assists.

Megan Mulvane had 17 points for Ridgedale (0-14, 0-11 N10).

DOLA — Six Hardin Northern players scored in double figures and everyone who played scored as the Polar Bears crushed Toledo Horizon Science 102-24 in a nonconference boys basketball game Wednesday.

Zach Wilhelm scored 17 points and Will Poling added 14 as Hardin Northern led 32-4 after the first quarter and 59-5 at halftime. Corey Thomson, Collin Hoffman, Preston Ribley and Blake Obenour each added 12 points for Hardin Northern (4-7).

Dae’Shawn Jennings netted nine points for the Jaguars.
