CAREY — Jon Racheter doubled twice with a single and RBI as Carey wrapped up Northern 10 Conference play with an 11-1 baseball win over Colonel Crawford.

Marcus Miller doubled and singled with an RBI and Anthony Driggers added two singles and two RBIs for the Blue Devils (11-14 overall, 6-10 N10).

Blake Treisch had a pair of singles for Colonel Crawford (13-12, 8-8).

Brayden Wentling got the win as he pitched five innings allowing one run on six hits with six strikeouts.

Carey wraps up its season with a nonconference game Friday at 7 p.m. against Riverdale at Toledo’s Fifth-Third Field.

FOSTORIA — Fostoria High School went ahead with two runs in the second inning, but Eastwood did all of the scoring the rest of way and claimed a 15-2 Northern Buckeye Conference victory in six innings on Tuesday at Grant Jackson Field.

The Eagles went ahead with three runs in the top of the third, added two in the fourth and then put the contest away with five in both the fifth and sixth innings.

Jake Pickerel came up a home run short of hitting for the cycle for Eastwood, which also got a pair of singles apiece from Eli Brown and Jared Luther.

Losing pitcher Lance Smith (2-4) tripled to lead the Redmen (8-19, 1-12 NBC) at the plate. Brystan Baeder, Sethe Daugherty, Eli Hickle and Sam Grine each had a single.

NEW RIEGEL — New Riegel claimed the Sandusky River League baseball title on Wednesday with a crucial three-run fourth inning over Lakota.

The Blue Jackets (15-7, 10-0 SRL) scored five in the first but lost the lead after Lakota’s (11-10, 8-2) three-run first and five-run third, but Brian Hughes’ lead-off double ignited a strong fourth inning.

John Zoeller had two singles and two RBIs, Grant Lescallet singled, doubled and had two RBIs and Shane Halcomb singled twice and stole two bases for the Blue Jackets.

Tyler Wherle led the Raiders with a single and two RBIs, while Tyler Gabel, Nate Walter and Armando Palos each singled twice.
