CHILLICOTHE — For the fifth time in his career and for the first time since 2005, Alvada’s Chad Kemenah captured the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions crown as he finished eighth Saturday in the series season finale at Atomic Speedway.
Kemenah started 13th on the main event grid and worked his way into a top-10 finishing position as he ended up one position ahead of championship contender and defending titlist Dale Blaney at the finish line.
Blaney, who fell short of a seventh championship by just 20 points, finished second in the final standings, followed by Sheldon Haudenschild, Cap Henry and Kraig Kinser.
Chad Kemenah ended his 2016 Arctic Cat All Star championship campaign with one victory on the season, occurring at the Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway in Bedford, Pa.
The 2016 Ohio Sprint Speedweek champion also earned 33 top-10 finishes in 43 main event starts, 24 of which were inside the top five.
The Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will celebrate the 2016 season with the annual awards banquet, scheduled for Friday, Dec. 9, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
