ELKINS, W.Va. — The University of Findlay women’s lacrosse team tied a school record with 50 total shots in rolling to a 19-2 Great Midwest Athletic Conference win at Davis & Elkins College on Friday.
UF had 37 shots on goal, just three off the school record. The Oilers broke a close game wide wopen with a 13-0 run to close the first half.
Ciara Burud led UF with four goals and two assists. Hannah Peebles had three goals and Hanna Morgan, Maddi Brown and Olivia Sherman chipped in with two goals apiece.

ONU’s Richards third
RALEIGH, N.C. — Ohio Northern University senior Emily Richards placed third in the women’s 1,500-meter run at the 2018 Raleigh Relays on Friday and set a school record in the process.
Richards’ time of 4:15.77 was 5 seconds better than her previous ONU record, and is the third fastest NCAA Division III time ever.
Richards returns to the track today to compete in the 800-meter run, her strongest event.
ONU sprinter Taylor Lavey also competed in the Raleigh Relays on Friday, finishing 42nd in the 100-meter dash, but just missing a school record with a time of 12.55.
