SHELBY — Mohawk got its bats rolling early with three runs in both the second and third innings as it rolled to a 10-3 win over top-seeded Monroeville in Tuesday’s Division IV district semifinal.

The Warriors, who improved to 17-7 overall, will play Lucas — a 4-1 winner over Seneca East — at 5 p.m. Friday for a district title.

Hannah Jordan, who improved her personal record to 14-5 with the win, added a pair of hits including a double and an RBI for Mohawk. Miranda Stallard led with three singles, while Tess Weinandy (1B, HR) and Jordan Tyree (1B, 2B) both drove in a game-high three runs.

OAK HARBOR — Ashlynn Magers collected five of Old Fort’s 17 hits and Makinsey Black drove in four runs as the Stockaders thumped Sandusky St. Mary’s 13-3 in six innings on Tuesday in a Division IV district softball semifinal.

Black had three hits, while MarcQue Harris had a double among her three hits and Laini Gillett hit a solo homer for Old Fort (16-6) which moved into Friday’s 5 p.m. district championship game against Gibsonburg. The Golden Bears downed Northwood 14-2 in Tuesday’s other semifinal.

Caylee Fetter hit a two-run homer and Sara Bias smacked a solo shot for the Panthers (15-10).
