KANSAS CITY — The University of Findlay women’s lacrosse and men’s golf teams have been recognized for their academic success by their respective governing organizations.

UF’s lacrosse team earned a Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad honors from the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association. To be eligible for the award, a team must have posted a 3.0 grade point average or higher for the 2017-18 academic year.

Additionally, eight UF players — Allison Kelly, Annie Painter, Olivia Sherman, Claire Ferrell, Sandra Byerly, Maddi Brown, Emma Spellman and Natalie Hartel — were academic honor roll selections. To be eligible for that award, a student-athlete must be a junior, senior, or graduate student, and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

UF’s men’s golf team earned NCAA Division II all-academic honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America as a part of their 18Birdies Academic Awards. Teams receiving the award must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
