ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The University of Findlay volleyball team capped its season-opening Florida trip with a pair of victories over No. 25 Flagler 25-20, 25-17, 25-21 and Erskine 25-12, 25-11, 25-14 on Saturday to finish the St. Leo Invitational at 3-1 overall.

In the first match, Izzy Murphy nearly set a UF record for hitting percentage by turning 18 of her 22 (.818) attacks into kills.

She was just shy of the single match record of 14 kills in 17 changes set in 2006 by Kelsey Wesaw.

Kara Scherger (New Riegel) led the Oilers in had 21 digs on the day.

Hailee Olson collected 65 assists over the two contests.

In the second game, Rylie Patterson, Amanda Winner, Shelby Kin (Carey) and Madison Moore each hammered six kills.
