Freshman Olivia Frank scored her first career goal to lift the University of Findlay women’s soccer team past Urbana 1-0 in its season opener on Thursday at DeHaven Field.

Frank converted an assist from Shannon Marsh at the 22:29 mark of the first half to draw first blood.

The score stood as the Oilers played sound defense to not allow a single shot the rest of the game.

Urbana’s only shot of the game went wide left a minute before Frank’s goal.

Findlay tallied seven shots, four on goal.
