Findlay High School’s boys soccer team got back on the winning track Saturday night as the Trojans blanked Ashland 3-0 in a nonconference boys soccer match.

After a scoreless first half, the Trojans finally broke through.

Trent Land scored on an assist from Jacob Gangle to break the ice. Carson Dale added two goals with an assist from Land on his first tally.

The Trojans (2-2) outshot the Arrows 11-8. Goalkeeper Kevin Kuhn recorded the shut out as he stopped eight Ashland shots. Zach Gauss had eight saves for the Arrows (2-3).

Brady Shenise led FHS defensively with 13 intercepts and three steals. Nolan Clouse added five intercepts.

Hunter Bielicki netted four goals ad Ryan Yarcusko added one goal and one assist to lead Findlay’s junior varsity team to a 6-1 win over the Arrows.



GLANDORF — Nolan Unterbrink recorded a hat trick as he scored all three Ottawa-Glandorf goals in the Titans’ 3-2 nonconference win against Bryan.

Tyler Manon found the back of the net and Zach Seaman added a tally on a penalty kick for Bryan.

The Titans (3-1-1) outshot the Golden Bears 23-11. Ottawa-Glandorf goalkeeper Ethan Alt had eight saves while Reese Jackson stopped 15 shots for Bryan (1-3-1).



UPPER SANDUSKY — Jaidyn Thiel and Owen Mawer scored goals for Upper Sandusky as the Rams played to a 2-2 tie with River Valley in a nonconference match.

Luke Amert assisted on Thiel’s goal.

Sergei Littleton and Roland Linville accounted for River Valley’s two tallies.

Both teams finished with nine shots. Goalkeeper Anson Hill had seven saves for the Rams (2-4-1). Mason Snyder had seven saves for the Vikings (2-1-2).

JUNIOR VARSITY: Upper Sandusky, 3-1.



SPENCERVILLE — Isaiah Schwaab scored a hat trick and five others added goals for Bluffton in its 8-0 beatdown of Spencerville in a Northwest Conference match.

Schwaab also added an assist for the Pirates, who improved to 3-1-1 overall and 2-0 in the NWC.

Jesse Montel, Simon Derstine, Luke Young, Jude Spallinger and Brandon Good each netted a goal for Bluffton, which outshot the Bearcats 17-0.

Spencerville fell to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in the NWC.

KALIDA — Kalida stayed unbeaten as the Wildcats blanked Lima Bath 3-0 in a nonconference match up.

Kalida improved to 2-0-3 with the win while Lima Bath fell to 2-3.
