OREGON — Findlay High School’s lead in Wednesday’s Three Rivers Athletic Conference girls soccer match lasted all of nine seconds as the Trojans ended up dropping a 2-1 decision at Oregon Clay.

Kaylee Brodine got the Trojans (2-2-2 overall, 0-1-1 TRAC) on the board first with an unassisted goal at 6:14 of the first half.

The Eagles, though, got the equalizer just nine second later when Mikaeli Katschke found the back of the next on an assist from Bella Mabry.

Katschke and Mabry hooked up again for the game-winner with 15:51 remaining in the match.

Clay (4-2, 2-0) had an 11-7 edge in shots. Goalkeeper Kendra Wurm recorded 10 saves for the Trojans. Kennedy Slovak had six saves for the Eagles.

Chase Ebanks led Findlay defensively with 17 intercepts. Caitlin Fraley had 12 intercepts and Kenzie Beliecki added six intercepts and three steals for the Trojans.

Findlay and Clay played to a 1-1 draw in the junior varsity match.



MOUNT BLANCHARD — Katelyn Hildebrand’s pair of first-half goals helped propel Riverdale to a 7-0 nonleague win over Columbus Grove.

Hannah Breidenbach also scored twice for a Falcons (4-1-1) team that fired 27 shots on frame.

Haley Frey, Payton Rodriguez and Paige Rothlisberger each added a goal for Riverdale.

Maddie Maag racked up 20 saves for the Bulldogs, who fell to 0-4 with the loss.

KALIDA — Natalie Miller recorded a whopping 24 saves to help Miller City overcome a 25-5 shot disadvantage and top Kalida 1-0 for a Putnam County League girls soccer win Wednesday.

Kayleen Maas had the only goal in the contest as the Wildcats improved to 3-3 overall, 1-0 in the PCL.

Kalida fell to 2-3, 0-1 in league play.
