TOLEDO — Findlay High School’s Chloe Holliday netted second-team honors to lead the way for area teams at the Northwest Ohio Girls Golf League tournament Thursday at Detwiler Golf Course.
Holliday finished in a three-way tie for fifth place as she shot a 78.
Sylvania Northview’s Lexie Knight was the tournament medalist with a 72.
Lima Central Catholic topped Perrysburg for the team title on a sixth-player tiebreaker as both teams finished with 325 strokes.
Findlay topped Van Buren 402-414 for sixth place in the 10-team field.
Carsyn Kouns backed Holliday with a 92. Sydney Eynon (108), Cate Rummel (124), Cameron Heiserman (127) and Abby Powell (127) also played for the Trojans.
Taylor Adams and Olivia Sexton had solid tournaments for Van Buren as they led the way with a 93 and 94 respectively.
Grace Heitkamp (108)and Ali Bishop (119) completed the scoring for Black Knights.

Clay tops volleyball
OREGON — Findlay High School’s Grace Blatnik dished out 21 assists and Claire Bishop added 10 digs as the Trojans’ volleyball team fell to 0-6 with a 25-18, 25-17, 25-19 Three Rivers Athletic Conference loss at Oregon Clay on Thursday.
Sammy Vance led the Trojans at the net with eight kills while Kristen Scherger recorded three blocks.
The Eagles made it a clean sweep of the Trojans by winning the junior varsity match 25-17, 25-14 and freshman match 25-17, 25-19.
Soccer falls to Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG — Findlay High grabbed an early 1-0 lead, but Perrysburg came back with two goals in the first half and one in the second to beat the Trojans 3-1 on Thursday in nonconference boys soccer.
Mitchell Meyer scored the only goal for Findlay (2-4).
Brady Shenise had 13 intercepts and six steals, and Michael Copeland added nine intercepts for the Trojans.
Taylor Bielefield netted two of three goals for Perrysburg, which outshot the Trojans 20-3.
Perrysburg won the junior varsity contest 4-0.
