NORTH BALTIMORE — Patrick Henry’s Kaiden McGraw earned medalist honors as the top area golfer at Saturday’s North Baltimore Invitational at Birch Run Golf Course.

McGraw carded a 75 to beat Woodmore’s Danny Greenhill by four strokes in the medalist standings.

Woodmore, though, managed to top Patrick Henry 353-357 for the team title. Lake (363) was third followed by McComb (373), Carey (374), Bellevue (388), Arcadia (399), Toledo Christian (403) and North Baltimore (407). Fostoria also competed but did not field a complete team.

Patrick Henry’s Clay Schwiebert backed McGraw with an 88. Kenton Shoemaker (96) and James Gerken (98) completed the Patriots’ scoring.

McComb’s Ross Wenzinger finished fourth in the medalist standings with an 85. Carey’s Dylan Grothaus and North Baltimore’s Jaden Bucher both shot 89.

In addition, Toledo Christian’s Calvin Ahern recorded a hole-in-one during the tournament when he used a 9-iron to ace the 147-yard, No. 6 hole. Fostoria’s Jacob Counts and Lake’s Justin Luoma witnessed the shot.

Findlay wins quad

Findlay High School’s Will Templin finished in a tie for second in the individual standings as he led the Trojans’ boys golf team to a win in Saturday’s Findlay Country Club Quad.

Templin braved Saturday’s rainy conditions to shoot a team-best 82.

Findlay finished with 344 strokes, ahead of Toledo St. Francis (355), Bowling Green (374) and Wapakoneta (380).

Jordan Goeb backed Templin with an 85. Justin Hartman shot an 88 and Zach Harris an 89 for FHS. Harrison Hall (97) and Grant Lane (91) also played for the Trojans.

Bowling Green’s Isaac Elsasser was the match medalist with a 76.

Nartker paces Kalida

DELPHOS — Christian Nartker fired a 78 to lead Kalida to the team title at Saturday’s Delphos Invitational at the Delphos Country Club.

Josh Recker shot a 79, Ryan Klausing an 85 and David Peck an 86 for the Wildcats, who finished with 328 strokes to beat runner up Spencerville by eight shots.

Led by the 71 of tournament medalist Luke Lammers, Miller City placed third in the nine-school field with a 345. Arlington was fifth (372), Ottoville sixth (374), Columbus Grove seventh (378) and Fort Jennings ninth (434).

Brayden Bushong carded an 84 and Will Bushong an 86 to lead Arlington. Columbus Grove got matching 89s from Jacob Oglesbee and Owen Macke.
