VAN BUREN — Van Buren steamrolled Liberty-Benton on Tuesday scoring three goals in each half for a 6-0 win in North Central Ohio Soccer Association action.

The Black Knights, who improved to 5-1 and 1-0 in the NCOSA, were sparked by Hunter Stone’s first-half hat trick and pulled away with Nick McCracken’s second-half hat trick. McCracken added a pair of assists for VB.

Lucas Mattingly’s goal with 18:14 to play in the first half was the lone score for the Eagles (2-3-1, 1-1-1).

TOLEDO — Findlay did not waste time getting rolling on Tuesday as the Trojans buried all three of their goals in the first half in winning their first Three Rivers Athletic Conference match of the season with a 3-0 decision over Toledo Central Catholic.

Carson Dale, Graham Hartman and Logan Johnson each scored for Findlay, which improved to 3-4-1 overall and 1-2 in the TRAC. Dale and Ryan Montooth had an assist apiece and Kevin Kuhn stopped two shots.

Senior captain Brady Shenise paced spearheaded Findlay’s defense with 17 intercepts and seven steals. Nolan Clouse chipped in 10 intercepts with one steal.

Chris Buchele saved seven of the Trojans’ 29 shots on goal for Central Catholic (3-4-1, 1-3).

VAN WERT — Jackson Steinmetz’s hat trick propelled Bluffton to a 5-1 boys soccer win over Lincolnview Tuesday in Northwest Conference action.

Eli Lemley and Jayden Mays also scored for the Pirates (5-0-2, 3-0 NWC).

Kyle Wallace scored on the only shot on goal registered by the Lancers (0-4-2, 0-2-1).

Ethan White — who led with two assists — Drew Kuhlman and Ethan Schroeder added a agoal apiece for the Titans (4-1-1, 1-1 WBL). Starting keeper Ethan Alt stopped one shot and junior varsity keeper Dylan Birkemeier came in to make a pair of saves for O-G.

Ryan Hillingswith saved 13 of Ottawa-Glandorf’s 25 shots for Van Wert (0-5, 0-3).

MILLER CITY — Six Kalida players combined to score seven goals as the Wildcats trounced Miller City 7-0 in Putnam County League action on Tuesday.

Grant Laudick, with the first goal in each half, paced Kalida (3-1-3, 2-0 PCL) with two goals. Colin Erhart, Evan Roebke, Brad Siefker, Brandon Miller and Zach von der Embse each scored a goal apiece.

Joe Deitering tallied six saves for Miller City, which fell to 1-7 overall and 0-2 in the PCL.

There was not a shortage of goals Tuesday as Heritage Christian and Wayside Christian combined for 23 goals with the Minutemen falling 15-8

Heritage Christian, which fell to 1-2 overall, was led by Andrew Ridenour’s three goals, while Isaac Schultz (2 goals), Kenneth Lee (1), Andrew Lee (1) and Marcus Larsen (1) each added to the scoring.

Nic Garcia — who had a hat trick in each half — nearly outscored Heritage by himself burying seven goals to lead Wayside (3-1). Judson Gregory, with four goals, also scored a hat trick and Jansen Gregory scored twice.

Andrew Wehrly made 11 saves for the Minutemen.

PAULDING — Aaron Kloeppel and Derek Luersman assisted each other’s goals as Fort Jennings and Paulding played to a 2-2 draw on Tuesday.

Kloeppel scored in the 63rd minute and Luersman scored three minutes to take a 2-1 lead for the Musketeers (1-5-2).

Zach Gorrell scored early in the first half for Paulding (0-4-1) and Koiya Paschall scored the equalizer on a penalty kick with 10 minutes to play.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton fired 25 shots on goal but could not convert as the Pirates and Allen East played to a 0-0 draw in Tuesday’s Northwest Conference girls soccer match.

Bluffton, now 1-1-3 overall and 1-0-2 in the NWC, outshot the Mustangs 25-2.

Allen East moved to 2-0-3, 2-0-1 in the conference.
