Findlay High’s girls tennis team dropped just nine games overall and swept every match in straight sets in posting a 5-0 win over Toledo Whitmer on Tuesday in a Three Rivers Athletic Conference contest at the FHS Courts.

Senior Lauren Spaeth set the tone for the Trojans, breezing to a 6-1, 6-2 win over Whitmer’s Amy Kimura at No. 1 singles. Megan Earhart (No. 2) followed with a 6-1, 6-1 decision over Erica Hope and Katie Gagle (No. 3) matched Spaeth with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Kylie Burgess.

In doubles, Katelynn Coleman and Kaylor Stocker (No. 1) dropped just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win over Paige Rohloff and Marisa Shively, and Maggie McGhee and Izza Zalata (No. 2) doubled up Taylor Moores and Mackenzie Showalter 6-0, 6-0.

Findlay, which travels to Springfield today for a nonleague match, is 4-7 overall, 1-4 in the TRAC. Whitmer fell to 3-10, 0-5 in the league.
