SYCAMORE — Madi Chester knocked down 17 kills and Alexa Konkle handed out 30 assists to lead state-ranked Mohawk to a 25-20, 25-19, 25-16 victory over Seneca East on Tuesday night in a Northern 10 Conference volleyball match.

Konkle also made a team-high 14 digs for the Warriors, ranked 10th in Division IV in the first state coaches association poll of the season.

Kaylee Ward followed Chester with six kills and served for three aces, while Aubrey Margraf made 13 digs and Paityn Clouse made a pair of blocks as the Warriors raised their record to 9-1 overall and 6-1 in the N10.

The Tigers dropped to 4-7 overall and 3-3 in the conference.

NEW WASHINGTON — Carey’s McKenzie Row tallied team-highs of 11 kills, two aces and nine digs, but the Blue Devils dropped a 25-16, 27-29, 25-16, 25-15 decision to state-ranked Buckeye Central on Tuesday night in a Northern 10 Conference volleyball match.

Sadie Arend added eight kills, matched Row with a pair of aces and made a pair of blocks as Carey slipped to 3-7 overall and 2-4 in the N10.

Seylor Kin also served for two aces, while Bailey Tanner made two blocks and Emma Wagner finished with 23 assiss and eight digs for the Blue Devils.

The Buckettes, ranked ninth in the season’s first Division IV coaches state poll, lifted their record to 7-3 overall and 6-0 in the N10.

Eve Smith recorded 16 assists and eight digs and Jadyn Smalley came up with 14 digs as the Rams upped their record to 2-9 overall and 2-5 in the N10.

The Redmen fell to 2-9 overall and 0-6 in conference play.

Haley Radabaugh was 34 for 38 spiking with 16 kills while Rylee Sybert (30-36 spiking) and Peyton Brubaker (2q420) added six kills each.

Qiara Palos and Katelyn Klotz matched King’s three aces, with Palos also notching 15 assists and Klotz posting 13 assists. Grace Swaisgood served for three aces as well and came up with a team-high 22 digs as the Raiders fell to 1-8 overall and 1-4 in divisional play.

The Crimson Streaks boosted their record to 2-10 overall and 2-3 in the River Division.
