OREGON — Findlay High School’s Megan Earhart grinded out a three-set win at No. 3 singles to clinch a 3-2 victory over Oregon Clay for the Trpjans’ girls tennis team on Thursday in a Three River Athletic Conference match.
The Trojans improved to 6-7 overall, 2-4 in the TRAC while the Eagles dropped to 11-4, 3-3 in league play.
Earhart outlasted Clay’s Kenzie Arquette 6-0, 5-7, 7-5 with the Trojans having both doubles matches well in hand.
In No. 1 doubles, Kaitlyn Coleman and Kaylor Stocker edged Macy Burgess and Lauren Wells 6-4, 4-6, 6-1.
Findlay’s No. 2 doubles team of Maggie McGhee and Izzy Zalat earned a 6-3, 7-6(3) win over Lauren Mohler and Jazmine Stringham.
Clay earned its two wins from No. 1 and 2 singles players Maddie Arquette and Tori Gallaher.
Arquette topped Lauren Spaeth 6-2, 6-0 while Gallagher bested Becca Mathews 6-3, 6-2.
The Trojans will be in action on Saturday at the Fremont Michaels Doubles Tournament.

Holliday leads golf
OREGON — Chloe Holliday shot a 48 to lead Findlay’s girls golf team to a fourth-place showing at a Three Rivers Athletic Conference match at Maumee Bay State Park Golf Course.
Toledo Notre Dame won the event with 167 strokes. Toledo St. Ursula (171) was next followed by Oregon Clay (200), Findlay (223) and Toledo Whitmer (231).
Carsyn Kouns backed Holliday with a 54. Sydney Eynon (60), Cate Rummel (61) and Cameron Heiserman (62) also played for the Trojans.
TOLEDO — Toledo Central Catholic defeated Findlay 25-18, 27-25, 25-23 Thurday in a Three Rivers Athletic Conference volleyball match.
Findlay dropped to 1-9, 0-3 TRAC. Toledo Central Catholic improved to 3-9, 2-1 TRAC.
