ARCADIA — Arcadia’s Sydney Ramsey set a school record for career aces on Wednesday, then Tori Green tied it in the Redskins 25-3, 25-13, 25-13 nonleague volleyball win over Ridgemont

Ramsey had two aces in the first two sets, giving her 139 for her career and breaking the school record of 137 shared by Rebecca Kirian (2013) and Haley Kieffer (2016). Green finished with six aces to tie Ramsey’s new record as well. Ramsey was 21 for 21 serving with 18 points and Green was 21 for 22 serving with 20 points

Green also had 11 kills as Arcadia completed regular-season play at 17-5. Lea Pessell added seven kills and four blocks and Samantha Watkins had six kills and eight digs.

Liberty-Benton’s Hannah Warrington was 23 for 25 spiking with 16 kills and a team-leading 16 digs as the state-rankd Eagles capped off a 22-0 regular season with a 25-7, 25-18, 25-9 romp over Eastwood on Wednesday in a nonleague volleyball match.

Caitlin Elseser was 18 for 19 spking with nine kills and four blocks, Izzy Granger was 10 for 11 spiking with six kills and Schy Shepherd added five kills and four blocks.

Aly Carpenter was 20 for 21 serving with four aces, Alissa Rhodes was 45 for 45 setting with 24 assists, and Chloe Miller had 11 digs for the Eagles, who avenged their only regular-season setback of the 2017 season, a five-set loss to Eastwood when both teams were undefeated and state-ranked.

GALION — Galion started strong and doubled up Riverdale in the second and third sets in rolling to a 25-8, 25-14, 25-14 nonleague volleyball win over the Falcons on Wednesday

Tayler Ashburn had six kills and Grace Wetherill, Hannah Vaughn and Bry Vanden Bosch added two each for Riverdale. Tayler Yoder led the Falcons (6-15) with 11 assists.
