Morgan Kirk scored three goals with one assist and Madison Mlsna added two goals and an assist to power Findlay High School’s girls soccer team to a 6-0 Three Rivers Athletic Conference win against Toledo Whitmer on Wednesday at Elmer Graham Stadium.
With the win, Findlay improved to 7-5-3 overall and 4-2-1 in the TRAC while Toledo Whitmer dropped to 7-6-2 and 2-5 in league play.
Kaylee Brodine scored Findlay’s other goal. Alivia Benjamin and Kaelyn Couch added assists.
Findlay had a 13-1 edge in shots. Goalkeeper Kendra Wurm recorded one save for the Trojans while Erin Cicerell had seven for the Panthers.
Defensively, Chase Ebanks recorded nine intercepts while Caitlin Fraley had six intercepts and two steals. Teammates Sarah Gerardi had five steals and Madison Berry finished with four intercepts for Findlay.
The Trojans, who scored a 9-0 win in the junior varsity match, will wrap up the regular season on Saturday with a home match against Gahanna Lincoln.
FHS duo falls
BOWLING GREEN — The girls tennis season ended for Findlay High School’s girls tennis team on Wednesday as seniors Katelynn Coleman and Kaylor Stocker bowed out in the first round of the Division I district tournament at Bowling Green State University’s Keefe Courts.
Stocker and Coleman dropped a 7-6 (2), 6-2 decision to Norwalk’s Megan Berry and Jordan Gran in their opener.
