Savanah Richards scored two goals and chipped in an assist as Liberty-Benton’s unbeaten girls soccer team blanked Allen East 4-0 in Saturday’s Division III district quarterfinal match.

The Eagles (15-0-1) advance to play Mansfield Christian (10-5-1) in Wednesday’s 5 p.m. district semifinal at Findlay’s Elmer Graham Stadium.

Chloe Kin and Brooke Deeter also scored goals for the Eagles, while Jayde Bailey, Maya Rickle and Taylor Ward registered assists.

Liberty-Benton finished with a 22-5 edge in shots. Goalkeeper Sophie Aschemeier stopped five shots for the Eagles. Lauren Criblez had 18 saves for Allen East (9-5-4).

OTTOVILLE — Kasey Knippen got things started for Ottoville as the Big Green racked up a 3-0 win against Delphos Jefferson Saturday in a Division III district quarterfinal girls soccer match.

Ottoville will now play Lima Central Catholic in Wednesday’s 5 p.m. district semifinals on its home pitch.

Knippen scored both the first-half goals for the Big Green. Haley Hoersten made it 3-0 with a tally with just 11:28 remaining in the game.

Ottoville (8-6-2) outshot Delphos Jefferson 13-3.

The Wildcats ended their season at 8-10.

ARCHBOLD 2

ARCHBOLD — Miller City went toe-to-toe with Archbold for all of the first half and much of the second before the Blue Streaks claimed a 2-0 win.

Archbold (12-1-4) will play Evergreen (11-4-1) in Wednesday’s 7 p.m. district semifinal match at Napoleon.

Dakota Stamm broke the scoreless deadlock with a goal with 26:24 remaining in the game. Chloe Nofziger, who recorded an assist on Stamm’s goal, gave the Blue Streaks an insurance tally with 13:43 left.

KALIDA 2

COLUMBUS GROVE 1

KALIDA — Columbus Grove’s first-year girls soccer program finished its season by taking second-seeded Kalida to overtime before falling 2-1 on Saturday in a Division III quarterfinal of the Ottoville district.

Madison Langhals and Sydney Wurth scored for the Wildcats, who improved to 12-4-1 and advanced to Wednesday’s district semifinal at Ottoville against Spencerville or Coldwater.

Kathryn Siebeneck and McKenna Bockrath each had an assist for Kalida, which outshot the Bulldogs 25-4.

Bailey White made three saves in goal for the Wildcats.

Kiersten Closson scored eighth-seeded Columbus Grove’s goal and keeper Maddie Maag made 20 saves.

MANSFIELD — Mansfield Christian’s girls soccer team reached the district semifinals for the first time in five years as the Flames blanked Cory-Rawson 8-0 in a Division III district quarterfinal match.

With the win, Mansfield Christian (10-5-1) advances to take on top-seeded and unbeaten Liberty-Benton (15-0-1) in the 5 p.m. district semifinal at Findlay’s Elmer Graham Stadium.

Cory-Rawson’s season ended with a 7-9-1 record.

ASHLAND CRESTVIEW 5

BLUFFTON 0

ASHLAND — Ashland Crestview recorded its third straight shutout and improved its record to 15-1-1 by beating Bluffton 5-0 in a Division III girls soccer district quarterfinal match.

The Cougars will now take on Riverdale (10-5-2) in Wednesday’s 7:30 p.m. district semifinal match at Findlay’s Elmer Graham Stadium.

Bluffton completed the 2018 campaign with a 7-5-5 record.

SWANTON 2

CONTINENTAL 1

CONTINENTAL — Swanton scored the go-ahead goal with 10 minutes to play and hung on for a 2-1 win over Continental in Division III district quarterfinal girls soccer action.

Swanton (8-5-4) will now play top-seeded and unbeaten Liberty Center (15-0-1) in Wednesday’s 5 p.m. district semifinals at Napoleon. Continental bows out of the tournament at 10-5-1.

EVERGREEN 3

OTTAWA-GLANDORF 2

METAMORA — Ottawa-Glandorf’s girls soccer season came to an end with a 3-2 overtime loss to Evergreen in the Division III district quarterfinals.

Evergreen (11-4-1) faces Archbold (12-1-4) in Wednesday’s 7 p.m. district quarterfinal at Napoleon.

The Titans ended up 6-9-1.
