ADA — Van Buren racked up a 32-7 lead by halftime as the Black Knights rolled to a 65-26 nonconference girls basketball win against Ada Monday night.

With the win, Van Buren evened its record at 4-4. Ada slipped to 1-6 with the loss.

Zoe Horne led the Black Knights with 14 points while Faith Dewalt netted 11. Makenzie Saltzman grabbed 10 of Van Buren’s 33 rebounds while Breanna Tabler had a solid all-around effort with seven points, six steals and six assists.

Kristen Poling popped in eight points and Megan Light netted seven for Ada.

RAWSON — Cory-Rawson’s Zoe Chisholm tossed in a game-high 21 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Hornets as they fell 54-47 in a nonconference game against Ridgemont.

The Gophers (2-6) led just 34-33 after three periods of play before outscoring the Hornets 20-14 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Chisholm finished with a double-double as she also grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out three assists. Grace Roebke added seven points and nine steals for Cory-Rawson (1-9).

Faith Jenkins popped in 16 points and Shaylee McGrath chipped in 12 for Ridgemont.

Fort Jennings(2-6) trailed 35-30 after three stanzas but outscored the Knights 15-8 in the final frame to get the win.

Kristen Luersman led all scorers with 19 points. Katie Klir scored 12 points and Madison Neidert added nine points for the Musketeers.

Lexie Gregory scored 18 points to pace Crestview (2-4).

Schroeder netted 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Miehls scored 14 with seven rebounds and three assists as the Panthers improved to 4-3.

Alyssa Herr has just three points, all from the free-throw line, but grabbed nine rebounds with five blocked shots.

Ella Zaborowski tossed in 12 points and Jaclyn Norman chipped in 11 for Toledo Christian (5-3).

PAULDING — Paulding rode a 33-18 edge in the first half to a 68-60 nonconference boys basketball win against Miller City Monday night.

Jaret Miller tossed in a game-high 28 points to lead three Paulding players in double figures. Fletcher Cook and Carson Shull tossed in 14 and 10 points respectively for the Panthers (2-4).

Jon Burgei led Miller City with a 10-point, 14-rebound double-double. Austin Ruhe led four Wildcats in double figures with 17 points. Jake Koenig popped in 13 points and Chase Kuhlman added 10 points and 8 rebounds.
