BASCOM — Claire Rigel poured in a game-high 14 and Peyton Henry chipped in a double-double as Leipsic down Hopewell-Loudon 43-34 in Thursday’s Blanchard Valley Conference game.

The Vikings, who are the third BVC school to reach six conference wins, improved to 10-4 and 6-1 in the league. Liberty-Benton remains atop the conference at 7-0 and Arlington — which beat Arcadia 40-33 on Thursday — also has six wins at 6-1.

Rigel shot 6 of 8 from the floor for Leipsic, while Henry popped in 13 points with 12 rebounds and a team-high three assists. The Vikings hit 10 of 18 foul shots.

MaKayla Elmore made four of her nine shot attempts and finished with a team-high 11 points, 11 boards and five steals for the Chieftains (11-4, 4-3), who made all three of their free throws.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — McComb’s Alyssa Herr and Malorie Schroeder combined to go 16 of 17 from the free-throw line Thursday to lead the Panthers past Riverdale 48-35 in a Blanchard Valley Conference girls game.

Herr finished with 18 points and Schroeder added 15 as McComb improved to 12-3, 4-3 BVC. The Panthers were 19 of 23 from the line as a team and shot nearly 50 percent (10 of 21) from inside the arc.

Bry Vanden Bosch had 12 points and five rebounds for Riverdale (6-9, 1-6 BVC). Brooke Kuenzli had eight points and seven steals.

VANLUE — Caitlin Elseser nearly outscored Vanlue on her own and Alissa Rhodes notched a season-high as Liberty-Benton trounced the Wildcats 82-26 on Thursday to remain unbeaten in the Blanchard Valley Conference.

Elseser led all scorers with 22 points for the Eagles (14-0, 7-0) and also led with seven rebounds and three blocks. Rhodes pumped in a season-best 14 points with seven boards.

Savanah Richards macthed Elseser and Rhodes for the team-lead in rebounds with seven, scored 14 and led in assists (10) adnd steals (5).

Emma Biller had 10 points to lead Vanlue (7-7, 2-5). Maliah Snook scored seven, connecting on 7 of 8 foul shots.

PANDORA — Mady Parker did a little bit of everything for Van Buren as she scored 18 points with eight rebounds and nine steals in lead the Black Knights to a 44-29 Blanchard Valley Conference win at Pandora-Gilboa.

The game was knotted at 21-21 at halftime before the Black Knights took control by blitzing the Rockets 23-8 in the second half.

Zoe Horne scored nine points and Breanna Tabler added six points with three assists as Van Buren improved to 6-9 overall and 3-4 in conference play.

Lacie Fenstermaker tossed in 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Regan Russell scored seven points.

Pandora-Gilboa fell to 3-11 overall and 0-7 with the defeat.

RAWSON — Leah Lee, Alivia Light and Grace Hagmeyer combined for 41 points and spearheaded North Baltimore’s offense as it raced to a 63-33 Blanchard Valley Conference win over Cory-Rawson on Thursday.

Lee buried five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Tigers (7-6, 5-2 BVC). Light narrowly missed her second consecutive triple-double scoring 14 points with nine rebounds and 10 assists. Hagemyer chipped in a 12-point, 14-rebound double-double.

Zoe Chisholm paced the Hornets (3-14, 0-7) with 14 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Grace Roebke was also in double figures with 10.
