The road to the OHSAA state bowling tournament begins Friday for area teams as girls sectional action begins at two sites across the Northwest District.
The Division II girls tournament begins at 5 p.m. on Friday as Fostoria and Lakota will compete in Division II sectional at Port Clinton’s Star Lanes on the Harbor.
Ottawa-Glandorf and Patrick Henry will compete in the Division II sectional at Napoleon’s River City Bowl-A-Way.
The top four teams and top four individuals not on a qualifying team advance to next week’s district tournament at Rossford’s Interstate Lanes.
Division II boys sectional action is set for noon Saturday.
Lakota and Fostoria will compete at Port Clinton while Ottawa-Glandorf, Patrick Henry and Liberty-Benton will bowl at Napoleon.
The Eagles have seven bowlers, all seniors, set to compete.
Noah Aschemeier, Drew Broerman, Logan Kizer, Grant Lentz, Brandon Maas, Nic Petrella and Luke Sunderman make up the L-B roster this season.
Four teams and four individuals also move on to the district level from the Port Clinton and Napoleon Sectionals.
