BLUFFTON — Jake Simons singled twice and knocked in five runs Monday to lead McComb to a 13-1 victory over Bluffton in a nonleague baseball game.

Kyle Wasson doubled and drove in three runs for McComb (1-0). Tristan Sherick singled and drove in two runs, and picked up the win in relief with four strikeouts in 22/3 innings.

Jason Althaus singled and had an RBI for Bluffton (0-1).

Brady Hauenstein and Owen Macke each drove in a pair of runs for Grove (1-0). Nick Woods struck out eight in six innings on the mound and allowed just two earned runs.

Zavier Thornton singled twice for Arljngton (0-1). Brayden Bushong and Caden Lafferty drove in runs for the Red Devils.
