MARION — Isaac Spar and Miranda Wills won individual titles to lead Ada’s boys tennis team to the championship at Saturday’s Marion Pleasant Tournament.

Spar and Wills both went 3-0 at No. 2 and No. 3 singles respectively to help the Bulldogs top runnerup Olentangy Berlin 19-14 for first place. Worthington Christian (9) was third followed by Marion Pleasant (8), Maumee Valley Country Day (7), Kenton (6) and Columbus Cristo Rey (2).

Morgan Swick and Dexter Wood were second at No. 1 doubles, Cade Mullins was third at No. 1 singles abnd gabe Hasan and Hunter Wells teamed up for third at No. 2 doubles for the Bulldogs.

O-G wins

VAN WERT — Ottawa-Glandorf players won three of the five divisions to earn the team title at Saturday’s Van Wert Invitational.

Ottawa-Glandorf’s Nolan Unterbrink won the No. 1 singles crown. Teammates Carter and Colin Welch and Kamron Maag and Parker Schomaeker earned championshiops at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles respectively.

Ottawa-Glandorf won the tournament with 17 points. Van Wert (16), Lima Shawnee (11) and St. Marys Memorial (6) completed the field.

Upper finishes second

CALEDONIA — Upper Sandusky recorded second-place finishes in three divisions Saturday to end up as a team in the River Valley Invitational.

Newark won the tournament with 30 points. Upper Sandusky (13), River Valley (9) and Bucyrus (3) completed the field.

The Rams’ Landon Cotto-Ramos and Justin Blackburn both went 1-1 to end up second at No. 2 and No. 3 singles respectively.

Grant Bower and Anson Hill teamed up for a 1-1 mark to finish second at No. 1 doubles.

Levi Malone was third at No. 1 singles and Kyle Snowden and Jacob Herbert were third at No. 2 doubles for Upper Sandusky.
