BOSTON — Chris and Brian Roberts ran their first Boston Marathon together Monday.

They finished the race together, too.

Chris Roberts, a 62-year-old retired Findlay orthodontist, was competing in his 20th Boston Marathon. His son Brian, a 36-year-old, New York City emergency room physician, was running in his first.

Both runners posted a time of 3 hours, 39 minutes and 17 seconds. Chris finished officially finished one spot ahead of Brian in 11,692nd place and 150th in his division.

Brian was 11,693rd overall and 3,674th in his division.

One other area resident competed.

Ottawa’s Olivia Velasquez finished 18,539th overall with a time of 4 hours, 10 minutes and 11 seconds. The 22-year-old was 3,965th in her division.
