FOSTORIA — Fostoria’s Jesus Garcia laced a two-run walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Redmen to a 4-3 nonleague baseball victory over Wynford on Tuesday.

Dylan Sheets (2-1B, RBI) and Karsen Bemis (3-1B, RBI) scored the tying and go-ahead runs for Fostoria (7-4).

Losing pitcher Noah Smith singled and drove in a pair of runs for Wynford (5-8).

KALIDA — Kalida’s Ethan Schmenk hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the Wildcats past Miller City 4-3 in a Putnam County League baseball game Tuesday.

David Peck and Gabe Hovest also singled and drove in a run as Kalida (7-1, 3-0) remained unbeaten in league play and handed Miller City (6-5, 2-1) its first PCL loss.
