COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove’s Luke Otto hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Bulldogs stunned league-leading and state-ranked Kalida 3-2 to claim a share of the Putnam County League baseball title on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs improved to 13-6 overall, 6-1 in the PCL while the Wildcats, who claimed their fourth straight league title, are 13-3, 6-1 in league play and ranked No. 12 in the latest Division IV state poll.

Otto singled off Owen Recker, the reigning PCL Player of the Year, who pitched 62/3 innings of two-hit relief with nine strikeouts and three walks for Kalid.

Recker also had a single and an RBI of his own.

ARCADIA — Liberty-Benton’s Cole Busch and Anthony Wolford combined on a one-hit shutout of Arcadia for a 3-0 win in Blanchard Valley Conference baseball action Tuesday.

Busch went six inning and allowed the lone hit with 11 strikeouts to six walks, while Wolford struck out two in throwing a 1-2-3 seventh for the Eagles (19-4, 8-3 BVC).

Eli Palmer had the only hit for the Redskins (7-12, 3-6).

FOSTORIA — Lake’s Harry Jackson doubled, hit a home run and drove in five runs Tuesday to lead the unbeaten Flyers past Fostoria 15-1 in a Northern Buckeye League baseball game.

Trey Groves doubled and Devin Mauricio had a single for Fostoria (10-13, 5-8 NBC).

Scott Mackiewicz singled twice, tripled and drove in a run for Lake (22-0, 11-0).

OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf built a 6-0 lead after four innings en route to doubling up Liberty Center 10-5 for a nonleague baseball win Tuesday.

Logan Miller doubled and singled for the Titans who improved to 9-11 overall while Trey Nienberg (2-1) got the win on the mound.

Conner Johnson tripled as the Tigers fell to 11-9.
