ARCADIA — Arcadia, bidding for a share of the Blanchard Valley Conference girls softball title, got home runs from Caity Cramer and Breana Reinhart in a 14-4 five-inning victory Tuesday over Liberty-Benton.

The Redskins, now 11-9 overall, climbed to 8-1 in the BVC. Hopewell-Loudon already has a share at 10-1, but McComb (9-1) and Arcadia also have just one loss.

Cramer finished with three RBIs and Reinhart had two. Lanei Rodriguez (2-1B), Lanci Rodriguez (2B, 1B, 2 RBI) and Isabelle Mundy 2-1B) also sparked the 11-hit attack.

Katie Pape paced Liberty-Benton (8-14, 4-7) with a pair of singles.

COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove and Kalida put up runs at a pinball-like pace Tuesday and the Bulldogs eventually won the high-scoring affair 26-16 in six innings to clinch a share of the Putnam County League softball title Tuesday.

Every batter in the lineup for Columbus Grove (10-10, 5-1 PCL), which won its sixth straight league title, tallied at least two hits as the Bulldogs had 28 hits, three home runs, and scored multiple runs in all six frames.

Danielle Bame (4-1B, 4 RBI), Jenna Hardeman (4-1B, 6 RBI) and Cheyenne Mershman (3-1B, 4 RBI each homered for Grove.

Emily Buss doubled, singled three times and tallied five RBIs to lead the Wildcats (3-11, 2-3).
