FINDLAY HIGH SCHOOL’S Mac Robertson returns a shot during Monday’s 3-0 win against Perrysburg.

Findlay High School’s doubles teams made quick work of their opponents from Perrysburg on Monday as the Trojans rolled to a 3-0 victory against the Yellow Jackets in an Ohio Tennis Coaches Association State Team Tournament match on the FHS courts.

Logan Tichenor and Andrew Gilgen rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win against Perrysburg’s Pipen Patel and Eliot Schmitenbag at No. 1 singles.

At No. 2 singles, the Trojans’ Blake Gray and Kevin Kuhn stopped Matteo Gutierrez and Nate Fuggett 6-2, 6-0.

Findlay’s Max Hosey clinched the win at No. 2 singles as he defeated Nathan Englehart 6-1, 6-0.

At No. 1 singles, Findlay’s Drew Swisher won the first set 7-6 when the match was stopped and went unfinished because Findlay had clinched the team victory.

Mac Robertson was beating Perrysburg’s Tyler Bosso at No. 3 singled 6-2, 6-0 when their match was stopped.

The Trojans will take a 20-0 record into today’s 4:15 p.m. state quarterfinal match against Toledo St. John’s at Shadow Valley Tennis Club.
