MCCOMB — McComb’s Shelby Steinbrook threw a five-hitter in the circle and also tripled at the dish as the Panthers topped Arcadia 5-1 to clinch a share of the Blanchard Valley Conference softball title win Monday.

Steinbrook struck out six batters and walked just one in allowing one unearned run. Madison Amburgey singled and had a team-high two RBIs for McComb (15-7, 10-1) which shared the BVC crown with Hopewell-Loudon (17-7, 10-1).

Isabelle Mundy had two hits and the lone RBI for the Redskins (11-11, 8-3).

Wagner doubled twice in her three-hit game while Ball doubled and singled for the Senecas (10-12, 6-8 SBC River) who had 18 hits.

Abagail Pena doubled for the Crimson Streaks (3-18, 1-11).

Berner fanned 11 batters and walked just one to get the win and doubled in a run to help her own cause.

Maddie Otto (2 RBIs), Tess Oedy and Abby Niese each added a pair of singles for Miller City (6-9 overall, 4-2 PCL).

Olivia Gamble, Allie Honigford and Hunter Boecker all singled for Ottoville (1-14, 1-4).

MCCOMB — McComb’s Jared Dillon and Tanner Schroeder each posted four-hit games as the Panthers racked up 18 hits to beat Pandora-Gilboa 19-7 in five innings and clinch the outright Blanchard Valley Conference baseball title Monday.

Dillon doubled and drove in a team-high four RBIs while Schroeder (2B) tallied three RBIs for the Panthers (18-5, 10-1 BVC) who earned their second league title in the past three seasons.

Tommy Hovest had a pair of singles and two RBIs to lead the Rockets (3-15, 2-7).

Javen Newton (2-2B) and Blayne Robinson each had two hits and two RBIs for the Bulldogs (18-8), ranked No. 17 in Division II.
