HARROD — Findlay High’s girls golf team finished sixth in the team standings while Hopewell-Loudon’s Kiley Cline posted a top-10 finish individually to lead area golfers at Tuesday’s Allen East Invitational at Colonial Golfers Club in Harrod.

Lima Central Catholic cruised to the team title with a 316, while Lexington’s “A” team was second (375). Findlay finished with a 441, Hopewell-Loudon (454) was 10th and North Baltimore (483) 14th in the 18-team field.

Sydney Eynon’s 97 led Findlay. Cameron Heiserman (111), Cate Rummel (112) and Casey Tate (121) completed the Trojans’ score. Abby Powell (124) and Libby Holman (125) also competed for Findlay.

Cline fired an 87 to lead the Chieftains, while Zoey Beaupry had a 113 to lead North Baltimore.

Lexington’s Mandi Ruminski was medalist with a 71.

VB girls 4th

SWANTON — Claire Recker’s 42 led Van Buren on Tuesday when the Black Knights finished fourth in a Northwest Ohio Girls Golf League event at White Pines Golf Club in Swanton.

Toledo Notre Dame dominated play, posting a 159 team total to win the six-team tournament. Sylvania Southview (206) was second and Anthony Wayne (222) edged Van Buren (225) for third. Sylvania Northview (258) and Springfield (264) rounded out the field.

Following Recker in the Van Buren lineup were Ali Bishop (55), Peyton Odey (63) and Taylor Stewart (65).
