Findlay High’s girls tennis team did not lose a single game on Thursday as the Trojans swept Lima Senior 5-0 in a Three Rivers Athletic Conference girls tennis match at the FHS Courts.

Megan Earhart topped Abby Beck at No. 1 singles; Sydney Swisher beat Nevaeh Sheerer at No. 2 singles and Mollie Quaid beat Tatiana Goston at No. 3 singles, all by a 6-0, 6-0 score.

At No. 1 doubles, Libby Lemaster and Madison Barberree knocked off Paige Bartels and Shivana Breaston, while Shayla McDonald and Katie Harp beat Daesha Jackson and Tayshawn Smith at No. 2 doubles. Both were 6-0, 6-0 wins for the Trojans, who improved to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in the TRAC.

Lima Senior dropped to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in the TRAC.

Findlay returns to action Tuesday against Three Rivers Athletic Conference-foe Toledo St. Ursula at the Toledo Tennis Club.

Volleyball loses in 5 sets

Findlay High’s volleyball team dropped a tight one 25-13, 20-25, 24-26, 25-14, 15-13 to Sylvania Southview on Thursday in nonleague action.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Sylvania Southview, 25-19, 18-25, 25-20.

FRESHMEN: Findlay 25-21, 25-21.
