VAN BUREN — Arcadia’s overtime win in the first set set the tone on Wednesday when the Redskins outlasted Van Buren 28-26, 21-25, 25-22, 25-19 in a matchup of upper division Blanchard Valley Conference volleyball teams.

Lea Pessell was 52 of 61 spiking with 27 kills, Paige Massie had 17 kills, and Lyndee Ward and Morgan Squires added 13 each for Arcadia. Caity Cramer was 99 of 103 setting with 34 assists and Samantha Burnett 50 of 52 setting with 16 assists. Lanei Rodriguez came up with 25 digs and Cramer and Ward had 21 each as Arcadia, 8-1 overall, improved to 3-1 in the BVC and handed Van Buren (10-3, 2-1) its first league loss.

Lindsey Shaw was 19 of 19 serving and led Van Buren in both assists (21) and digs (11). Emma Reineke had 14 kills and Olivia Cramer had seven. Sophia Reineke (4) and Cramer (3) combined for seven blocks.

Izzy Granger totaled 13 kills on 23 of 23 hitting, while Hannah Warrington added seven kills and four aces for the Eagles (10-0, 3-0 BVC). Both players had 11 digs.

Karis Willow added eight kills, Alissa Rhodes was 49 of 49 setting with 28 assists and Emma Otley collected 13 digs for L-B.

VANLUE — Pandora-Gilboa’s Makayla Kinsinger posted a double-double at the net in leading the Rockets past Vanlue 25-23, 25-19, 18-25, 25-17 in Blanchard Valley Conference volleyball action on Wednesday.

Kinsinger, a junior middle hitter, was 20 of 23 spiking with 12 kills and 11 blocks.

Lacie Fenstermaker (17-22 spiking) added five kills and four blocks and Mikayla Simons (20-28 spiking) four kills and three blocks. Lillie Nofziger was 46 of 50 setting with 15 assists for the Rockets (3-5, 2-1 BVC).

Emma Biller had an impressive all-around game for Vanlue (6-2, 2-1 BVC). The senior outside hitter was 37 of 38 spiking with 16 kills, 17 of 17 serving with four aces and led the Wildcats with 18 digs.

Audrey Phillips was 22 of 23 serving, 81 of 85 setting with 26 assists and had 12 digs. Maliah Snook was 34 of 41 spiking with 11 kills and 10 digs.

Brough (13-14 hitting) led with 12 kills and served four aces and Scheckelhoff (15-18 hitting) added 10 kills with four blocks to lift Leipsic to 8-1 overall and 3-1 in BVC play.

Brooke Brown had 10 digs, Lyndie Hazelton (38-39 setting) led with 20 assists and had two aces. Jocie Hermiller went 20 of 20 serving with three aces.
