KALIDA — Ottawa-Glandorf’s boys team and Van Buren’s girls team were the big winners Saturday as the Titans and Black Knights won team titles at the Kalida Wildcat Invitational at the Kalida Fish and Game Club.

O-G won the boys title with 53 points. Van Buren (217) was sixth, while Patrick Henry (eighth, 267), Bluffton (12th, 317), Leipsic (13th, 321), McComb (19th, 523) and Ada (20th, 601) also competed.

Van Buren scored 88 points to edge second-place Napoleon (95) for the girls title. O-G (216) and Patrick Henry (218) finished eighth and ninth, respectively, while Leipsic (318) was 13th.

Kamron Maag led three O-G top-10 finishers with a third-place showing in 17:01.10. Parker Schomaeker (17:09.50) was fifth, while Max Buddelmeyer (17:26.80) was ninth.

Brett Sugg led Patrick Henry with a 12th-place finish in 17:42.80; Alex Hernandez (13th, 17:48.30) was Leipsic’s top runner and Bluffton’s Erik Nygaard (19th, 17:51.40) also posted a top-20 finish.

For the girls race, Justine Hunt finished third in 20:31.30 to lead the Black Knights. Ella Webster (20:48.70) was close behind in fifth for Van Buren. Patrick Henry’s Emma Carpenter (21:04.80) and Madison Prigge (21:16.70) finished eighth and 11th, respectively.

H-L wins boys title

NEW WASHINGTON — Hopewell-Loudon had three runners finish in the top 10 and six in the top 20 as the Chieftains’ boys cross country team won the Buckeye Central Invitational on Saturday at the Buckeye Central Track Facility.

Hopewell-Loudon finished with 47 points. Carey (257) was 10th.

In the girls race, Carey’s Sarah Reinhart was a winner in 19:22.29. The Blue Devils (92) finished third behind Northmor (59) and Wynford (89). Hopewell-Loudon (94) was fifth.

Jordan Foster led the Chieftains with a second-place finish in 16:26. Mansfield Christian’s Clay Reynolds won in 16:18.91.

Trey Masterson (sixth, 17:00.03) and Carter Ritchey (17:07.41) backed Foster up with sixth- and eighth-place finishes, respectively, for Hopewell-Loudon. Riverdale’s Eli Weber was ninth in 17:10.82.

Caden Crawford (17:38.21) was 15th for Hopewell-Loudon.

Carey’s Juliana Boes backed Reinhart up with an eighth-place finish (20:41.25). Riverdale’s Juleigha Collier was 10th in 20:46.02. Hopewell-Loudon’s Alivia Roerdink (13th, 21:14.04), Taylor Sours (14th, 21:16.27) and Taylor Leiter (18th, 21:27.12) posted top-20 finishes.

OLD FORT — Upper Sandusky’s cross country teams finished in 10th place Saturday at the Old Fort Invitational at Old Fort High School.

The Rams’ boys team finished with 224 points. Elmwood (504) and North Baltimore (506) were 17th and 18th, respectively. Tiffin Columbian won with 93.

Liberty Center finished with 55 points to win the girls team title. Upper Sandusky was 10th with a 240, while Elmwood (393) was 16th.

Kameryn Webb led the Rams’ boys squad with a 17th-place showing in 18:09.69. North Baltimore’s Levi Trout (18:17.06) was 19th.
