University of Findlay sophomore Sydney Kin, who averaged a double-double in leading the Oilers to back-to-back Great Midwest Athletic Conference victories, has been named the GMAC women’s basketball player of the week.

A Carey graduate, Kin had 16 points and 16 rebounds in UF’s 70-67 win over Cedarville, then capped a 23-point game against Tiffin by hitting the game-winning free throw with less than a second on the clock to earn a 67-66 victory.

Kin averaged 19.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in the two games and also blocked three shots.

ONU swimmers named

ADA –Ohio Northern University swimmers Jeremy Adams and Megan Lubinski have been named the Ohio Athletic Conference men’s and women’s Swimmer of the Week.

Adams won four events and was on two winning relays as ONU posted wins over Oberlin and Mount Union while losing a meet with Kenyon. Lubinski figured in four first- and three second-place efforts in the three meets.
