The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference decided on Thursday to cancel the remainder of its 2019-20 athletic events in response to coronavirus concerns.

The HCAC is comprised of 10 Division III institutes, including Bluffton University.

The decision comes after the NCAA ruled on March 12 to cancel all remaining winter and spring sport championships.

The Division III Administrative Committee ruled last Friday that all spring sport athletes, if they desired, would be granted an extra year of eligibility.
