A Hancock Park District “discovery story” about box turtles will be held at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. May 2 in “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center at Oakwoods Nature Preserve. The same program will be held each time. It will include a story, an activity, and viewing a box turtle shell and skeleton, and a live box turtle.

The free program is recommended for 3-6 year olds, accompanied by an adult, but siblings may attend. Registration is not necessary.
