Hancock Park District will offer a program Sunday entitled “Birds of Summer: Open House” where participants will hear dozens of unique bird calls and find out what birds are singing in the park and why they sing.

A story about some of our summer resident birds will be read, participants can make a bird feeder to take home and be invited to take a short bird watching hike.

The open house will take place at Oakwoods Nature Preserve’s Discovery Center from 1 to 4 p.m. All ages are welcome to participate. Registration is not required.
