Hancock Park District staff will present a program about Mars in the inflatable planetarium at 7 p.m. Monday.

The planetarium will be located in the Discovery Center at Oakwoods Nature Preserve.

On July 27, Mars will be at its closest approach to Earth and its face will be completely lit up by the sun.

Participants on Monday must sit on the floor and may ask about accommodations.

The free, family program requires registration because of limited space. Register by 4 p.m. Monday online at www.HancockParks.com under “Programs & Activities.”

Or, call the park district’s administrative office, 419-425-7275, to register or for more information.
