RAWSON — The Union Township trustees will hold a special meeting at 8 a.m. Tuesday at the village hall/fire house on Hancock County 37, Rawson.

The trustees will discuss whether to ask the Hancock County Budget Commission to halt the collection of a five-year, 1.5-mill tax levy. The tax was levied for tax years 2014 through 2018, for collection in calendar years 2015 through 2019, for Union Township fire protection. The continuance of the levy is unnecessary for the final year.
